Manglik Dosha in Horoscope

This is a quite discussed topic and people are worried about it alot. I would not say don't worry, but before reaching any conclusion it's very important to judge the true dignity of mars in the horoscope.

Mars is a very important planet in astrology. It represents courage, strength passion, fighting ability and immune system.

A strong and benefic mars in horoscope protects us from diseases, enemies and gives us fighting ability however a malefic mars would give uncontrollable anger, diseases related to blood, the native can have many enemies, jealousy, hatred and troubled married life.

Generally, if Mars occupies, 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 12th houses then it's considered manglik dosha but some points need to be noted are -

1. Check the position of Mars from Lagna, Moon and Venus. If dosha is only from lagna not venus or moon then it's not mangal dosha. Dosha should arise atleast in two from these three.

2. Check the ascendant, if it's Gemini, Virgo, Taurus or Libra then Mars is highly malefic and if connected with 7th house then not good for married life. For Cancer, Leo, Sagittarius and Pisces Lagna mars is Rajayogadhipati and not harmful. For Aquarius and Capricorn mars blesses with prosperity, for Aries and Scorpio, it will give transformation and disputes also being 6th and 8th lord, although it's lord of ascendant, that's why it should be well placed.

3. Check the sign where it's placed, enemy sign, friendly sign or neutral, this will manipulate the results. Also if jupiter aspects it.

4. Check if it's in Nakshatra of 6th, 8th, or 12th lord and in 1,2,4,7,8,12 houses it will definitely cause disputes and trouble in married life.

But this is only from birth chart. Basically, mangal dosha in birth chart will give problems in getting married, issues in early married life, delay in marriage, broken heart and relationships. But if mangal dosha is not there in Navamsa then later married life is smooth. Also mars alone can't do anything, if 7th is strong, Lord is placed well then mars can't break marriage. Secondly, results vary as per house and sign placement. So, it can't be same for all placements.

If partner is manglik too dosha is cancelled.

But if you are manglik definitely you should do some remedies before getting married or after marriage. Like doing meditation in morning, praying Lord Vishnu or pouring water on Shivlinga is very much beneficial.

Exceptions-

1. Mars in one sign of Aries and Scorpio does no harm.

2. Mars in Venus sign in 4th and 7th cancels dosha.

3. Mars in Mercury signs will have it's evil effects warded off if it happens to be in 2nd house.

4. Mars does no harm in signs owned by Sun, Moon and Saturn.

5. Mars does no harm in jupiter sign in 8th house.

Conjunction and aspect of Saturn and Jupiter will reduce harmful effects.
